We are having fun with our intercom system! Every morning, Mr. Robert selects the next First Grader on the list to announce the day, date, weather, and birthdays. Cinco de Mayo was marked with Mexican music and a brief explanation of the meaning behind the celebration.

A brief assembly was held last Monday to honor our students who participated in the Right Move Chess Tournament. TECCS won second place! The students will help select an area of hallway to hang our first award!

Several field trips are planned for June. The Kindergarten will be going to the Tenafly Nature Center for “Creature Double Feature”! They will learn about and meet live turtles, snakes, and frogs! Students will also be lead in nature hikes through the woods before lunch. The First Grade will be exploring the many exhibits at the Liberty Science Center.  Both groups will celebrate with end-of- the- year picnics at the Martucci Park at Pavonia and Westside.

Mrs. Caggiano is busy coordinating the start of our new library by meeting with book reps and planning the floor space. We recently acquired bookshelves with the closing of the Hoboken Barnes & Noble. Thank you parents for transporting them to TECCS!
